Sleeveless Blazer Swag

Photo cred: AMB Photography

Jeans: Zara / Bag: Rebecca Minkoff / Watch: Michael Kors (love this one) / Sunglasses: F21 /

Hey beauties <3 Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I went to NYC on Sunday for a Blogger Meet Up Brunch w/ some amazing, intelligent and beautiful Latinas at Preserve 24 restaurant. It was such a great experience to meet other women that share the same passion as you. Check out some pics down below!
Crisp and clean is my motto for summer. The sleeveless blazer is one of my favorite items in my closet. I am totally on the hunt for a black one. This look would have looked too casual and blahhh without the vest over it. Sometimes a little layering can really change an outfit!

The Lolashoetique heels are amazing. I have another look in mind for them soon. They are unbelievably comfortable as well.

Claudia (who is from LA) put the whole brunch together and I am so thankful to her! It was a great time and I made some great friends! Thanks Girl xo

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!!! Until next time

DIY: How To Get Smooth Soft Skin & Help Treat Eczema

Hey Guys,

Transitioning from jeans to shorts can be scary at first. But if you get your skin ready for the move it will be easier. We all have different skin issues that may make us insecure, and while it’s easy to hide them in the winter, there is no hiding them in the summer. Here’s my story on how Lavender oil helped with my skin insecurities!

I usually don’t share my personal issues, but it’s the only way I can explain how amazing this next skin care tip is. I have very dry skin, and as if that wasn’t enough, I also recently got something called Atopic Dermatitis. This is another form of eczema that includes itchiness and red dots in areas such as my legs and wrists. Sexy right? Not at all! I became really insecure and began wearing sweaters to cover my wrists while continuing to wear jeans. (Luckily, my job is always cold so I didn’t look too crazy!) Then one day my mother came home with Lavender oil because she read that it helps with arthritis pain. As an oil enthusiast, I looked into it to learn more, and I learned that lavender oil is great for fighting acne, wrinkles, anxiety, insomnia, and sensitive or dry skin. I thought what do I have to lose by trying this on my own skin?  I began mixing lavender and almond oil and putting it on my skin after every shower (didn't touch any other moisturizer). In a week and a half my legs were the clearest I’ve ever seen them! The rashes were gone, I didn’t itch anymore and all the random bumps I used to get were gone. I now use this as my lotion and it has been amazing!

What you need:
Lavender oil= the pure oil or the aromatherapy kind that is already saturated with other oils. I use the aromatherapy kind because that’s what I had at home.
Almond oil=(Get it at Trader Joes or any grocery store)

**If you get pure lavender oil, make sure you mix it with the almond oil. Do not put it on your skin without mixing it**

A little goes a long way. I make a small amount.
½ tsp of almond oil
¼ tsp of Lavender oil

Even though this was a positive experience for me, we all have different kinds of skin. I would recommend trying a spot on your skin first—just to see how your skin will react.

Orange and Leopard

Bag: Rebecca Minkoff / Watch: Michael Kors / Lipstick: MAC Morange /

Orange is a hot color for summer this year!! You can rock a orange lip, dress, heels or bag style the trend this summer. Oh and btw this is a 2 Part look. Same look going from casual to dressed up. I love a look that you can wear during the day shopping or running errands and then put on a pair of heels for a dinner date or night out. I also love a colorful pair of heels. They just have that POW factor.

Skin Care 101: How to clear your skin

Hello! My name is Marieli and as my sister has already pointed out I have a slight obsession with finding different ways to get beautiful skin without spending a lot and using natural ingredients. I have been testing out ideas for about a year and a half now and always just kept this my little secret. Now here I am, sharing what I have learned along the way!

My first thing I want to share with you guys will give you a quick fix to your skin and it is my go to when it comes to breakouts. Since summer is finally here we can all use a quick fix after those long months with heavy makeup and dry skin. It's time to shed the makeup and let your skin breathe! Don't worry about spending a lot of money on a product because these are tips you can find in your house (or go to your moms house).
First step, go to the kitchen and look for a banana...... Yeah, you read that right. Bananas are rich with amino acids and antioxidants that provide nutrients to your skin and hair.  Bananas are a good source to get rid of acne, dry skin, wrinkles, dry hair/ itchy scalp, and a way to lose those dead cells.

Getting Rid of Acne & Pimples:

Open the banana and just rub the inside of the peel on your face. Leave it for about 20-30 minutes and then rinse off. Do this twice a day.

**If you do not like the smell of bananas, I recommend staying with the banana peel. **

Fixing Your Complexion and Saying Bye to Acne Scars:

1 ripe banana, 1tsp of honey, and 1tsp of lemon juice. Lemon juice helps exfoliate— reducing the appearance of acne scars. Honey hydrates the skin to give you that glow you need. If you want you can do this with just honey and banana. Mix in a bowl and make sure you really mix it well or else you will have chunks of banana falling from your face. Also, make sure you do this over a sink because it does get messy. After placing it on your face, let it sit for 15-20 minutes then clean with cold water and moisturize.

Warning: After doing at least one of these you will never look at banana’s the same and you will wonder why people throw away peels. That’s like throwing away a good cleanser!

Leave below any comments, questions or things you have tried that worked for you!

Blog Announcement!!!!!!

Hello my darlings <3

So I am soooo excited to announce that my little sister, Marieli is going to begin posting skin care posts on the blog. She loves doing research on looking for cheaper organic ways to improve one's skin and health. She does all tons of experiments/trial and errors to find great DIY skin care treatments for half the price at the drugstore. So trust me, when she says something works or doesn't she tried it on her face a bunch of times!!!

Stay tuned for her first blog post to be posted this week on the blog. You guys will love it!!!

Denim Dress

Photo cred: AMB Photography

Dress: Dynamite Clothing c/o (click here) / Heels: Zara /
Accessories: H&M / Sunglasses: Jessica Simpson /

Ive always been a denim kind of a girl. I secretly love to be comfortable and dressed in laid back clothes so today I got a little of both. The denim dress is easy because you can just throw it on, stack on some accessories, sandals and your out the door. Well thats literally what I did! LOL
This Dynamite clothing dress is comfortable and trendy. I like the length because its long enough to wear as a dress but its versatile in the way that you can style it so many different ways. I will definitely show you guys another way to wear this dress soon.
We went for a stroll by the water so I wanted to keep my look low key and casual. The braid is my favorite part. It was my first time accomplishing the side braid that went all the way down. I was pretty proud of myself. :)

I hope you dolls enjoyed this casual look. Thank you so much for stopping by and please leave me a comment below! I love your feedback and interacting with you all.
Don't forget to leave me your blog info so I can check out your page :)

Styling Patent Leather Skirt

Photo cred: AMB Photography

Skirt: Celebboutique (click here) / Top: MissGuided (similar one here) (love this one) /
Heels: Zara  / Cuffs: Forever 21 & H&M /

Red Patent Leather is so sexy even if your not trying to be. There's something about this Celebboutique skirt that makes me feel more confident in my body and and more risky in my styling choices. The first time I wore it was winter time and I paired it with a sweater.
Now that the weather is warmer I wanted to wear a crop top. The skirt is high enough where you only show an appropriate amount of skin. I love the crop top from MissGuided because of the plunging neckline. Its sexy but secures my ladies very well for no nip slip accidents.... LOL!
I kept the accessories minimal to just stacked cuffs. I feel it looked better minimal and simple.

Hope you beauties enjoyed this look. I don't do sexy too often because as you get older your body starts to change and Im still adjusting to that! HAHA!
Thank you guys like always!
