Holiday Dessert: Chocolate Pecan Pie

Hey Dolls. So Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I am super excited to see my family and eat my mom's delicious food :) I wanted to share with you one of my favorite dishes to make and I have made it my own little tradition for about 3 years now. It is a chocolate pecan pie. I got the recipe from The Food Network's The Neelys. Click here to see their recipe! Everything is the same except for the bourbon lol.

Ingredients:
3 eggs
3 tbsp of butter
1 tsp of vanilla extract
2 tbsp of flour
3/4 cup of dark corn syrup
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup of pecans (I chose halves but you can do whatever you want)
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
9 inch pie crust ( I use frozen one bc its easy)

Step 1: Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F. Put your butter either in the microwave or in a small saucepan to melt. Grab a bowl and beat your eggs.

Step 2: Then add you brown sugar, pecans, chocolate chips, flour and vanilla extract. Before you measure your dark corn syrup spray the measuring cup or whatever you are using with butter spray. It helps it slide right off. Once you have done that go ahead and pour the syrup into the bowl.

Step 3: Grab your melting butter and add it with the remaining ingredients. Mix the mixture well. Then pour this deliciousness into the pie crust. Make sure the chocolate chips are distributed evenly.

Step 4: Place your pie onto of a sheet tray and bake for about 50-60 minutes. Check on it after 45 minutes.

Step 5: Once its done leave it out to cool off. I personally love my pie cool but if you like it warm that is cool too. You can put it in your fridge and save it until you are ready to serve. Serve with either vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top. Yummy!! I can not wait to eat mine!!!

If you guys try this recipe out or this is part of your holiday tradition take a pic and tag me #alanamariestyle. I would love to see your holiday treats.

Have a great Holiday! Be thankful for all you have and I am very thankful to have all of you that take the time to visit my page and leave me comments <3

Happy Thanksgiving!

Fall Riding Boots

I love the color of fall leaves. Its so beautiful so I felt inspired by fall with today OOTD. Its getting very (and I mean very) frigid outside in New England so I had to layer to stay warm.

Photos taken by: AMB Photography

Sweater: H&M (loving this one) / Coat: H&M / Skirt: H&M (similar one here) /
Tights: Target / Riding Boots: Macys (affordable ones here) /
Purse: Target Philip Lim / Sunglasses: Jessica Simpson /

I love the colors of this look. Lots of warmth and brown tones. Reminds me of the beautiful fall leaves everywhere. I am a huge fan of riding boots and I feel that every girl that lives in a 4 seasoned state should own a pair. They provide warmth while at the same time are very chic.
I love to pair mine with tights and then knee high socks on top and folded them over. Another way of wearing them are with jeans. In case you noticed but if my hands look funny in any of the pics its because they were freezing. Lol.
Along with riding boots chunky sweaters are a must have too. Try to get bright or neutral colors into your wardrobe. It will allow you to play with contrast and layering into your looks. I like to wear a denim top or flannel under my chunky sweaters and roll up the sleeves.

Hope you enjoyed this post and if you live on the east coast like I do then please stay warm :)

Be Ready Carpet Ready with Divina Latina

*Sponsored*

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Unilever and Latina Bloggers Connect. All opinions are my own. :)

Hello my Dolls. I have an exciting post for you loves today. Latina Bloggers Connect, Unilever, and CVS pharmacy have teamed up with Tresemme, Pond's and Caress to bring us affordable ways to feel glamorous and look red carpet ready.
One of my favorite things to do when I am getting ready is my makeup. I am a makeup addict and I love shopping at the drugstores to find affordable great quality products.
When searching for a great foundation I try to find something that has SPF and will give me a flawless luminous look.

For a luminous glow that will give me a everyday glam look I used the New Ponds Luminous Finish BB cream. It has an SPF of 15 and a hypoallergenic/non-comedogenic formula.

Step 1: Make sure to moisturize your face before applying. I used my Cetaphil daily moisturizer. I applied the BB cream with my Real Techniques expert face brush.

Review: It was at first a little light for my skin but after 15-20 minutes went by it oxidized to my skin color and gave me a nice light weight coverage.

Step 2: To warm up my face and contour I used my MAC MSF in medium dark. Then for blush I wanted something that will give me a nice glow so I grabbed my MAC mineralize blush in Warm Soul.

Step 3: For my eyes I used MAC e/s in Nylon/Saddle/Red Brick/Embark/Mulch and applied an eyeliner and some mascara to my top and bottom lashes.

Step 4: To finish off the look I applied Maybelline Pink Please lipstick with Revlon Pango Peach lipgloss on top.

And Now I am a #DivinaLatina who's red carpet ready :) I am actually a big fan of the Pond's BB cream product. I am surprised because I have never tried a BB cream before. If you are interested in checking out this product you can find it at your local CVS pharmacy
All Divina Latina products are available at CVS and (get this) available for Extra Bucks. So for every $50 spent on beauty products at CVS you get $5 Extra Bucks! Its like free money! Thats a great deal. I for one always go to either CVS or Target to get my drugstore products. But with a deal like this you can't pass it up.

Check out the Divina Latina Facebook Page for more beauty tips: http://bit.ly/195YIVd

Hope you loves enjoyed this post. Let me know in the comment box if you have tried any of the Divina Latina beauty products?

Veteran's Day

I want to dedicate today's blog post to thanking and honoring the men and women that serve our country. Thank you all for your service. I know that anyone that enters the armed services knew that they were going to sacrifice so much for their country. It is a sacrifice that not many of us are brave enough to make but you all do and I can not thank you enough. Today is your day <3
Thank you again to all you veterans for your dedicated and loyal service to your country and our freedoms!

Isabel Marant H&M Collection

Only 7 days away until one of the biggest fashion collaboration launches. This has to be H&M best designer collection. The collection is filled with beautiful textures/prints/colors/studs and fringe. It has Marant reputation all over it. The line is a mixture of boho chic meets rock edge. If you want to see if your local H&M will carry the collection check out racked.com

Below are some of my favorite pieces from the line. I'm hoping that I can get my hands on at least one of them. This collection is going to be as crazy as the Versace launch. I didn't get my hands on anything. It felt like black friday frenzy in Boston that day. If you want to be happy and get your hands on something make sure to strategize your plan of attack in advance. Trust me ;)

Jacket: $399 / White Blouse: $129 / Wool Cardigan: $129 / Fringe Boots: $299 /

If I could get my hands on just one item it would def be the fringe boots. They are so gorgeous and edgy. I can picture so many looks with these boots. I will try to capture my adventure or at least keep you guys posted.
