Neutrogena #StrongFoundation

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with NEUTROGENA and Latina Bloggers Connect however all opinions are 100% my own and honest.

In my opinion foundation will make or break your makeup look. Finding the right formula for your skin and the right color will be the difference maker in the way your makeup will look.

I am going to share with you guys my tips in finding my right shade:
1.  First know your skin type. If you already know your skin type then skip down to #3. Make sure that you know whether you’re dry, oily or combination skin.
2.  What is your undertone? Mine is olive so I like a yellow undertone foundation.
3.  Neutrogena’s website offers a Shade Finder Quiz where you input your skin type and it will select your product works best for you. Take the test before you go into the store. It will make your trip so much easier.

Before I apply my foundation I make sure that my face is moisturized. I prefer to apply my foundation with a blending sponge. I feel it makes my application appear flawless and dewy.
I wet the sponge a little bit, pore the product on the back of my hand, and then dab the sponge into the product and begin blending away.

The Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup is great for my skin type because the dewy formula keeps my skin feeling hydrating and not allowing it to dry. The color Medium beige is a little light however I prefer to have a foundation that is light then one that is too dark for my skin. You can build with bronzer and contour.

I love trying out new foundation. Its the hardest piece of makeup to find for my skin type. But hey its all trial and error right?!

Thank you Neutrogena for allowing me to be apart of the #strongfoundation campaign and to you guys for checking out my post!

 Have a great weekend!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Neutrogena. The opinions and text are all mine.

Open Sleeve Spring Romper

Photo: AMB Photography

Romper: Asos (blue color) (click here) / Heels: Steve Madden (click here) /
Bag: Zara (similar one) /

This tailored open sleeve romper blends sexy and chic into one! If I had to describe my style I guess thats what I would use: sexy and chic :)

I kept the shoe color neutral but I didn't want a simple heel. The caged heel adds a fun young vibe. I love these Steve Madden heels. They are so comfy!

Sidenote btw have you guys listened to Beyonce Lemonade album?! I mean she constantly leaves me speechless. Who else can drop an HBO special for an album?! Only B!

Netflix and Chill Type of Weekend (Literally!)

Image via

No! NO! Its not that kind of weekend! I mean literally watch Netflix and chill this weekend! If your feeling under the weather or want to grab some snacks and relax this weekend, then I have some great  Netflix suggestions for you!

I mean you can still go out and grab some brunch and run errands but if you have no night time plans then check out my list of some great flicks on Netflix...

    1. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
This Netflix original is not only funny but Ellie Kemper is freaking adorable and cute! She literally makes me happy and smile a lot :) Her roommate though!!! O.M.G He cracks me up! Definitely a must watch!

    2. My Girl
Ahh Vada and Thomas are they not the cutest! This is a classic especially if your having a movie night for one! My fiancé wouldn't sit and watch the whole thing with me LOL!

   3. DOPE
I was home sick one day and looking for something to watch on Netflix and came across DOPE movie and I loved it from the first 2 minutes! The narrator calls the main characters "geeks" but I think they are DOPE as hell! There's comedy, drugs, a little bit of violence and nudity and its uniquely special and cool.

   4. Nightcrawler
Okay this film is dark and I mean really dark and crazy but come on its Jake Gyllenhal (hottie) and he delivers a great performance in this film. Double Win :)

   5. Changeling
Directed by Clint Eastwood Changeling is based in the 1920's (my favorite era) Angelina Jolie takes on the LAPD after her son goes missing and the police return the wrong boy. Its a tear jerker but Angelina is spectacular.

How to Make Time for Friends

Image via Blog.Donde.Me

I am continuing my series of making time for yourself and talk about making time for friends. This is my second hardest thing to do. Whether you’re juggling working full time, kids and/or husband, and household duties it’s hard to have time for friends.
But it is so necessary for one’s own sanity and mental health. You need to have girl time, adult conversation and time away to relax and have a good time.
Remember that you deserve that!

Here are a few ways you can find time for friends:

1.      Set a date and don’t break it. This is the first step in making time for friends. Make a date. Plan around your calendar and contact your friends. Set up a few dates that might work for everyone and work on an agreeable one. Then don’t break it! Make sure to put it in your calendar, phone, alarm, post it note whatever and wherever way you can so you don’t forget or are a no show.

2.      Make it a regular schedule. In order to continue making time for your friends try to make it into a regular thing. Maybe take up your friend’s offer of going to that Pilates or spin class, or make a regular scheduled lunch date. If you make it a regular scheduled date then it because routine and you no longer have to worry about not making time for friends.

3.      Girls Night In! This is a considerate option because not everyone has the money to go out so host a Girl’s Night In! You can make it a theme or just a simple night. Have each one of your girlfriends bring something small so the burden is not all on you or order in. You can simply eat, drink and enjoy good conversation and wear your cute onesies. (I think I’m going to this with my girls ASAP!)

4.      No More Group Chat! I am not a fan of group chat or keeping up with my closest friends on social media. I think its interpersonal and a lazy way of convincing yourself that you’re making time for your friends. Don’t Facebook your friend on their birthday! This bad habit can become a ritual routine in your life and friendships. So if you’re doing it then stop right now missy! You’ll thank me later!

Spring Waterfall Duster Coat

Jacket: H&M (similar one) (affordable one) / Bodysuit: Forever 21 (love this)(similar one)  /
Jeans: HotMiamiStyles (similar ones) / Heels: Zara /
Sunnies: Nordstrom (click here) /

Living on the east coast we don't really have a "spring season." Jackets and coats are a necessity because one day it can be 65 degrees and the next it can drop to 32 degrees. I love long trench and duster coats/jackets.

It adds sophistication and classiness to a simple jeans and top look. Plus I am have been loving bodysuit lately. I don't know why but they are comfy and easy to wear. Pair it with a statement choker and your trendy and stylish.
