We have had some great fall holiday weather and I am loving it! Speaking of loving it I love these ankle fringe booties from Indigo.Rd. They are so comfortable and fun! By the way I didn't even notice how high my sweater's side slits were until I put it on! LOL Definitely need to layer up with the colder months ahead...
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend with your families. I went back to my hometown in upstate NY and it was so nice to take a break and just be with family. My nephew is the cutest and I feel so blessed that I was able to spend some quality time with him. Cherish your family and these moments!

6 Different Ways to Tie a Scarf

Scarves are a fall/winter staple item in my closet! I love keeping my neck warm and feeling cozy during the cold months. One of my favorite scarf prints are plaid. Plaid is colorful and can add that necessary pop to your look.

I displayed for you guys (6) of my favorite ways to wear a scarf whether its a blanket scarf or not. You can wear your scarf so many different ways. One of my favorite ways is wearing it with a belt like a poncho.

I picked out some beautiful plaid print scarf options for you guys to check out!

I love wearing flannel prints in the fall and I love layering it. I saw this cropped long sleeved sweater and had to layer it over the flannel. I think it gives the look a cool preppy edge. I had to add heels because I am a girly girl of course! LOL!

Thanksgiving is next week and I can't wait to eat! I am ready to chow down on rice and beans and tons of turkey. What are your plans for the Holidays?!

New Hair + How to Style it with Living Proof

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Living Proof, however all opinions are 100% honest and my own.

Short Hair Don't Care! I got a new do and I love it. I like to call it a "Fashion Lob". Its longer than a Bob but still short. Its the best hair length for my face frame (I got a Dora the Explorer head btw).
For cut explanations for those interested my stylist gave my hair blunt ends and gave volume throughout the hair by adding texture.

I wanted to go back to black because its fall/winter season and I love wearing dark lips and it works better for darker hair in my opinion. I wanted to look edgier and chic.

So because I have short hair now I have to figure out how to style it and make it work. I am loving my Living Proof products for my new hair.

Here are my thoughts:

1.) The shampoo is just amazing. Not only does it smell good (they all smell deliciously amazing) but my hair felt unbelievably healthy and had great shine!

2.) After washing my hair I tried the 5 in 1 treatment. I toweled dried my hair and applied about a dime size of the product to my hair starting at the root an working my way down to the ends. Then I combed my hair and blow dried.

3.) The hair sprays are amazing! Probably some of the best I have ever tried. They each have their own role to play. The instant texture mist is one of a kind! You spray the product on either damp or dry hair, scrunch and then tousle. When you scrunch and tousle it gives your hair that sexy bed head look.  I love that look especially with my new cut.

4.) The Blowout spray is a style and finishing spray. Section your hair, mist and then blowout with your brush. The spray literally cuts down on your blow dry time. I always blow dry my hair and this product literally made my hair look like I gave myself a professional blow out!

Living Proof is all about making women feel empowered and good with the products of hair! I mean I feel amazing when I am having a great hair day. It literally gives me an extra pep in my step!

I love each product and I am extremely grateful to Living Proof for helping me and my hair so I can have My Best Hair Yet!

Love you guys!

Over the Knee boots are my fall/winter obsession. I am on the hunt for a camel and grey color pair. If you guys have suggestions please let me know.

Monochromatic seems to be my signature look huh?! I just look mixing textures together and layering for the fall/winter. I love the pop of print these Karen Walker sunnies bring. I got these sunnies via a site called

Its a really cool concept! Its like Netflix but for your face in a way. Okay let me break it down.
Its a subscription rental service for designer eyewear! You can rotate your eyewear like we rotate our purses without having to buy a pair and shell out a ton of $$$$!

There selection is amazing! They offered to give my readers a one month free subscription using the code: "ALANAMARIE"

Sidenote: To my Walking Dead Fans out there?! Where is Glen? LOL

Fall Colors

Photos: AMB Photography

Skirt: House of CB (similar one) (lighter color) / Jacket: Zara (love this one) /
Top: Forever 21 (similar one) / Boots: Ivanka Trump Nordstrom (click here) /

As you can tell I can not get enough of the color camel huh?! To me its a gorgeous color for fall time. This is the look I wore to the Simply Stylist event in NYC. It was such a great time to see my friends and to meet new ones! Thanks to Dove for having me.

Okay back to fashion, who loves over the knee boots?! Well I do and I have been looking for a long time for a pair that wasn't so expensive. I mean if I could afford a pair of Stuart Weitzman boots I would have had a pair already. Luckily for me I found these Ivanka Trump pair in Nordstrom and they are way more affordable! I love the suede material because its a soft detail and look sleek and chic.
